Videx launched its next major product line, portable data collection terminals. The first product introduced was the Time Wand I. This miniaturized bar code reader has an internal clock, onboard data storage, and rechargeable power system, yet is small enough to fit in the user's shirt pocket. The Time Wand I was only the beginning of an extensive line of portable contact and laser bar code scanners, and Touch Memory button readers. Videx literally stands on its rugged products. The products are made with durable metal cases that hold up to the rigors of factory floors, military installations, construction sites, and guard tour applications. Videx products' lasting performance and durability are benchmarks within the data collection industry.
